Field Study No. 1

 Field Study No. 1

Date and time:   Friday September 6

Present climate conditions: Windy. 17 mph Northwest.

Temperature 65

length of day: 12.54 hours

organisms smelled, felt, heard, or seen, etc (sketches/photos/video where possible)

Water: I saw a variety of minnows in the water, mostly bluegill, but a few largemouth bass minnows were also there. A couple bigger bass were hunting for smaller minnows, but I saw no attacks. There were heron and deer tracks by the water's edge.

Meadow/Beach: there is a lot of moss in this habitat, as well as some tall grass. There was a cool kind of lichen drawing on the ground with red tips. There were a bunch of blue and red dragonflies flying around, and I caught some mating…

Woods: In the woods there is mostly pines, but there are a few sassafras, maple, and oak trees scattered about. On the ground there was a bunch of moss as well as fungi. I heard blue jays and crows calling.
